Trident Automation warrants all new products and new parts purchased against defects in material for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase by the end user. Warrants for used products are addressed on a case-by-case basis. During the warranty, we will (at our discretion) repair or replace any product found to have defects in materials or workmanship. The use of refurbished products and/or components may be used for the purpose of fulfilling our warranty obligation. This warranty does not cover any labor associated with the installation or use of this product, incidental or otherwise. This warranty does not cover repairs or replacements made necessary by misuse, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, acts of nature, or other factors beyond our control. This warranty is non-transferable. No warranty returns will be accepted without an RMA number printed on the outside of the return shipping box, along with a copy of the original sales invoice enclosed with the returned products. The customer is responsible for shipping costs. Products not covered under warranty will be repaired or replaced at the customer’s discretion and expense, including return shipping to the customer.
NO RETURNS will be accepted without an RMA number and copy of sale invoice. Customers have 30 days from the date of receiving the purchase to return for a full refund, less shipping, and a 20% restocking fee. Returned items must be in unused, undamaged condition and returned in their original packaging, including all manuals, documentation, hardware, and other included components. No partial returns will be accepted. All items must not: display evidence of being mounted; be dirty; be scratched, be dented, or be blemished. All items must: be returned with all manuals, screws, documentation, stickers, plastic bags, boxes, and other packaging; be packaged and shipped in a manner that ensures the item’s safe transit back to Trident Automation. Trident Automation will not be responsible for any damages resulting from misuse, negligence, inclement weather or power surges.
Shipping Fees for Warranty Exchanges
The customer is responsible for all shipping fees associated with warranty returns.
Sometimes a product is deemed defective by the customer, but upon sending in the item for warranty exchange, product testing by Trident Automation reveals that the product is not defective. Instead, the problem with the item may stem from something entirely unrelated, like improper installation, cabling, or use. For this reason, it is the policy of Trident Automation that the customer pays the shipping charges for returning the item to the customer.
Items Received Damaged or Opened
If a customer receives an item in damaged condition or receives a package that is damaged or partially open, that customer should retain the original shipping materials and contact Trident Automation immediately. If possible, the customer should take pictures of the damaged item. This is critical because the company needs to be able to have the shipper come by and evaluate the package. The shipping fees and methods associated with replacing these sorts of items are handled on a case-by-case basis.
